Pneumatic Forklifts

Pneumatic lift trucks are generally known as pallet lift trucks or pump trucks and are commonly utilized in warehouses and shipping plants to transfer materials on pallets. Pneumatic lifts include a set of metal forks installed on a wheeled counterbalance that has a pump. The pump is used to raise and lower the forks.

It is imperative to visually check the pallet lift prior to loading any supplies and to make certain the handles move effortlessly, the pallet truck turns correctly, and the jack is free of any potential obstructions. Inspect the load to make sure that there will be minimal opportunities for anything to fall off in the course of lifting and transport. Release any air in the pump and drop the forks to the ground by squeezing the handle mounted on the inside of the steel ring on the end of the lever. Run the forks into the slots in the pallet and ensure the forks are centered so that the palletsâ?? weight is evenly spread.

Pump the pneumatic lift lever up and down to elevate the blades from the floor. Stop pumping when the pallet is fully off the floor as there is no need to raise it any higher or risk losing balance while turning. In order to progress the pallet, tow the handle behind you; don't push it. There will be a huge amount of momentum present. Avoid quick or sharp turns and do not stop too suddenly. Gently bring the pallet to a stop wherever you would like to park it. Squeeze the lever within the handle end to return the blades to the floor. Extract the forks from the pallet and return the pallet lift to its designated parking spot.
